3 months left! WHAT?!?!?!?

I can't believe that there are only 3 months left of bearing this sweet child of mine. I really feel like I am losing time to get things done.  I hope this isn't a sign that I'm not going to be a good mommy.  The nursery is still in progress.  I have the closet ready for him. ha ha In fact, its already holding some of his goodies.  I need help getting the big items out of that room.  Once they're out then the room will look better.  Robert and I got some samples for the lil guys room. Here are the colors we chose to sample.

I am wanting to go with a real light blue for the walls.  There's a light blue color in the bedding so I think that will go well.  Once this project gets started, I will document with pictures. :-) I can't believe we've lived in this house for almost 3 years and Mini Cooper's room will be the first to get painted since we've lived here. He must be some special lil boy.  ha ha But, this has sparked some motivation to get the rest of the house painted. Robert was talking about painting the kitchen this morning.  Watch out! The Coopers are going to start some home improvements. I would like to get new flooring, but they may have to wait a little longer.  We will most likely get a professional company to come out and clean our carpets rather than do flooring.  We will see.  I am excited about these home improvements.  I hope we can have it ready for Mini Cooper before he gets here.  Once he is here, we really won't have time.
So, yesterday I had my doctors appointment.  Mini Cooper's heartbeat was at 147bpm.  That's a good rate.  It's so relieving to hear that thing beat to reassure he's still there.  After last weeks sickness of the gallbladder attack, I was so nervous that the stress I was in would harm him.  On the other hand, he's a mover and shaker.  He is moving all the time. So, that's a wonderful thing.  Although, it concerns me that he maybe a wild child. Robert and I are both calm and reserved.  We are not going to know how to act with a wild one. ha ha
I had to do the glucose test at the doctors. It wasn't bad at all.  The drink I had to take tasted like a Sunkist.  I gulped it down like it was nothing.  Doctor says I should know Tuesday the result.  I am praying for good numbers. If numbers aren't acceptable, I will be seeing him next week to see what we will have to do.  If numbers are good, I see doc in 2 weeks.  We went ahead and scheduled for March 9th.  So, now I am wondering if my appointments will be every two weeks.  Am I already that far along to see him every 2 weeks?  Oh boy!! I then had to go wait in the lab to have my blood drawn.  I had to wait for an hour so that the drink could do its thing.  The hour really wasn't that bad.  I am a people watcher, so that always help with time. ha ha  The lady who drew my blood was amazing.  If you know me, I HATE needles.  I didn't even feel the needle touch me.  She made conversation with Mom and I talking about giving birth. I have concluded that I will take whatever drug they are willing to give me.  This girl is not doing the natural crap.  I don't want to be in so much that it will become too late to take anything.  Just give it to me!
After the doctors, Mom and I got lunch at Capone's near Highland Village.  It was ok.  I wanted a brick oven pizza and I had found this place online.  My favorite place for brick oven pizza so far is in Dothan, AL.  It was THE BEST!  I think it was called Firestone Pizza.  We then made our way to Pottery Barn Kids because they were holding the "last" quilt to complete our bedding set.  I wanted to go ahead and get it just in case it wasn't available later.  Apparently, the Dr. Seuss bedding is very popular. You can't even get it online right now.  I still have a few things listed on the registry.  Once that was done we went to our yogurt shop that we usually go to when we are in that area.  My favorite flavors are the vanilla bean, vanilla wafer, and Ghirardelli chocolate.  I like to top it off with fruit.  Usually just strawberries. Here's a photo.
Mom likes the "odd" flavors with all kinds of toppings. LOL I wish Baytown had a place like this.  I would keep them in business.

So, Mini Cooper is 27 weeks.
90 days to go!
He is the size of a cauliflower.
Weighing 2lbs
He is 14 inches long.

Hopefully we will make progress with the nursery by the next blog. :-)
