Here we go. The anxiety will soon begin. We are getting close to meeting our lil guy.
I saw doctor Lloyd last Wednesday and he is still positioned downward but no sign of dilation yet.
This week marks 37 weeks.
Baby weighs 6 1/3 lbs and measures a bit over 19 inches.
This information is from the Baby Center app I have on my phone. This is not from the doctor.
Doctor did say that he likes to do an ultrasound closer to due date. His reasoning was he can see how much he will be and how is positioned to determine to go through a natural birth or a c-section. I see his point, but I want to see what he looks like!
I pretty much have the hospital bags packed.
We have a couple of things that need to get done this week. #1 The Crib. We ended up having to order a new one because the one that was delivered had a broken piece. #2 Install car seat.
Last week, we attended a birthing class/hospital tour at Texas Women's. We did learn a few new things. The thing I wanted to know what breathing techniques and how to count contractions. Well, I wanted Robert to learn how to count the contractions. We were in a class with 8 other couples. We all had the same concerns about having a baby. Good to know I am not alone. Ha. I did find out that Robert has had it pretty good these 9 months. One husband called out his wife on her mood swings. How embarrassing for her. But, Robert has been lucky with me. :-) Things he has to deal with is that I have become more clumsy. I broke our dogs food bowl and a jar of spaghetti sauce this week. I have to be careful with things I pick up. They'll most likely end up on the floor if I'm not careful.
We are on weekly doctor visits now. Next appointment is Friday, May 11th. Maybe there will be progress?
Dad will be arriving from Jordan on the 14th! We are so excited to see Dad! We haven't seen him since the end of January. We believe God had a plan to have Dad here for the arrival of Mini Cooper. His original travel date was to be here April 30-May13. He would have missed it. I am so happy that Dad will here for this special time.
Oh, the swollen ankles arrived today. I'm trying to rest as much as I can. I have house chores that need to get done before work tomorrow.
That's all for now.

40 Days To Go!
Time is flying by so fast. I am now starting to feel pregnant. Our lil guy is the size of a cantaloupe right now and I can tell! Getting in and out of bed is a chore. I would just like to just stay there for as long as I can without having to hurry out to potty or get ready for work. I never believed the whole going to the potty alot during the night was true. Holy Cow! That's probably why I am so tired because all I do is get up during the night. Mini Cooper is almost 18 inches long and weighs about 4 3/4 lbs. I have this feeling that he is going to be ready to meet us sooner than expected. I had a check up last Friday and his heart rate was 142. His heart rate has been very consistent and strong since day 1. That's always a relief to hear that. My next appointment is for the 27th and Dr. Lloyd will doing some sort of bacterial culture test. I'm guessing its routine. Then, on the 28th, Robert and I will attend the birthing class/hospital tour at Texas Womens. We are both nervous about this process. haha I know we will be fine, but we want to be prepared for what's about to happen. It's an all day thing, and I can already tell how exhausting its going to be. Dr. Lloyd said he will schedule an ultrasound once we are closer to D-Day. He is making me anxious with that ultrasound. I want to see him already! But, as time is flying by so fast...we will see him soon!
Update on the nursery. We have an assembled dresser! Yay! haha We also have the bassinet ready along with the carseat/stroller. We have to learn how to put the carseat in the car, though. I have always had trouble with those things. I gotta get it right this time, though. :-) We had our carpets cleaned by Sears 2 weeks ago and we were pleased with the service. Our carpets look new! We barricaded Presley in the kitchen to keep his dirty paws off the clean wet carpet. This didn't last long because he whinned and whinned. Here are a few pictures.
So, nothing else to report. Just counting down. I am finishing up my second semester at UofH too. Last class is May 7th. I'm praying I can get through it.
Until next time...

Mini Cooper is on "Cruise Control"!
According to Doctor Lloyd, our lil guy is getting ready for his big debut. I had a check up yesterday and everything seems to be running smoothly. His heart rate was 153bpm. It took a minute or so to find his heart rate because he was moving around on us. Of course, I got nervous when the monitor didn't pick it up right away. He was being a lil stinker. Dr. Lloyd was able to tell me that he is positioned in a downward position. He said we would schedule an ultrasound at my next appointment which is April. 13th. Yay, an ultrasound! We haven't seen our baby since Week 19. He is going to look so different!!! I can't wait!
My pregnancy itself has been great. I have had just a few issues during this time to make me not feel well. I am still having to be careful of what I eat because of the gallstones. It really stinks because preggo ladies like to eat anything and I haven't been able to do that. :-( On the bright side, hopefully "eating better" will benefit the baby. Last week, I had a flare up of my cellulitis and was out of work for a few days. Cellulitis is not fun. For those of you who know me, I have had this a few times in the last 7 years and it usually results into surgery. I was so scared that I was going to be admitted and have to deal with surgery along with being pregnant. Praise the Lord that it didn't come to that. Dr. Lloyd prescribed me an antibiotic and within a week I was much better! It was so bad that I couldn't stand to walk or sit. I was miserable!
I feel like I have to much to write about because I noticed its been about a month since my last post! Shame on me! I was supposed to be keeping up with this. But hey, I work full-time, go to college, take care of hubby, and try to take care of the house. Haha I am thankful for Maria. She's my Mom's house cleaner and has recently added my house to her list. A Clean House = a Happy Mommy to be. :) Bending over to clean just doesn't happen for me anymore. lol I still keep up with the laundry and dishes. Yay me!
March 24th was my baby shower. I am so blessed to have so many loving family and friends. Especially to the girls who hosted, Tyler and Rachel. Here are a few photos of my Dr. Seuss Themed Shower.

Saturday night, we purchased the nursery furniture. We already have a crib at the house but recently found out that the coordinating pieces have discontinued or you just can't get. Very frustrating times we have had with Target. Customer Service is poor! We went to "look" to see what Babies R Us had and decided on the below set. We had wonderful customer service. We happened to get help from the manager. He gave advice and said he wouldn't steer us in the wrong direction when it came to baby stuff. He happened to be a young Dad of a 2 month old and 18 month old. He was so generous too. He said he would reimburse us for the shipping cost we are having to pay for the crib. What a nice guy! So, what's left to do? Carpet cleaning. We have Sears scheduled to come out Friday to do their thing. D-Day is going to be here before we know it!
Last night, I arranged the baby clothes into piles from the warm water wash cycle and the cold wash cycle. I hope to get those items ready this week. I want to have my hospital bag ready. I've already bought toiletries and a big-soft-comfy towel for the hospital. It's always good to be prepared.
If you haven't figured it out yet. Our Mini Cooper's name is Matthew Munro. The name has pretty much been the one since we knew we were pregnant.
As of today, it's WEEK 32 with 54 DAYS TO GO!
He weighs as much as a jicama (yam bean)
He is almost 4lbs!
He is about 16.7 inches long.
He is a kicker. He moves around often.
By the way, April is a busy month! Easter this weekend, San Jacinto Day on the 21st, and my Dad comes home from Jordan for 3 weeks! We can't wait to see him!!Edit HTML

HOME STRETCH!!!
We've made it! FINAL TRIMESTER! Still have less than 3 months to go and its flying by so fast! It's already March?!?! What the heck?!?
Saturday was a productive day. Thank God for my friend Rachel. She was a BIG help to get things moved out of the nursery. I have the computer desk with the computer stuff still left to haul out. That needs to be a Robert project. We want to move files from the cpu to an external hard drive so we can then just throw the old computer away. It's becoming more real each day as I see the soon-to-be nursery room almost cleaned out. Once we cleared a bunch of things out, Rachel finally got to get her hands on some paint. She was so excited and anxious to put color on the wall. The first color looks to purple and the last color is a little too dark. I think the winner is the middle color. That color matches the quilt pretty good. I wonder if our Mini Cooper would like to have that pink/white/purple storage thing you see in the picture? Ha Ha. It's going to the road. No use for it now. Robert and I still have a lot to do. We need to buy nursery furniture. I hope we can get everything done before he arrives.
As of today, our Mini Cooper is 28 weeks. 81 days to go!!!
He weighs 2 1/4 lbs-equal to a Chinese cabbage
He measures 14.8 inches from top of the head to the heels
Next doctor appointment is this Friday. I think it's a routine check up on the baby. Listen to the heartbeat.
We are 98% sure of a name. Robert hasn't made an official confirmation. He just says, "Probably so". Once we are 100%, I'll post. :-)

3 months left! WHAT?!?!?!?
I can't believe that there are only 3 months left of bearing this sweet child of mine. I really feel like I am losing time to get things done. I hope this isn't a sign that I'm not going to be a good mommy. The nursery is still in progress. I have the closet ready for him. ha ha In fact, its already holding some of his goodies. I need help getting the big items out of that room. Once they're out then the room will look better. Robert and I got some samples for the lil guys room. Here are the colors we chose to sample.
I am wanting to go with a real light blue for the walls. There's a light blue color in the bedding so I think that will go well. Once this project gets started, I will document with pictures. :-) I can't believe we've lived in this house for almost 3 years and Mini Cooper's room will be the first to get painted since we've lived here. He must be some special lil boy. ha ha But, this has sparked some motivation to get the rest of the house painted. Robert was talking about painting the kitchen this morning. Watch out! The Coopers are going to start some home improvements. I would like to get new flooring, but they may have to wait a little longer. We will most likely get a professional company to come out and clean our carpets rather than do flooring. We will see. I am excited about these home improvements. I hope we can have it ready for Mini Cooper before he gets here. Once he is here, we really won't have time.
So, yesterday I had my doctors appointment. Mini Cooper's heartbeat was at 147bpm. That's a good rate. It's so relieving to hear that thing beat to reassure he's still there. After last weeks sickness of the gallbladder attack, I was so nervous that the stress I was in would harm him. On the other hand, he's a mover and shaker. He is moving all the time. So, that's a wonderful thing. Although, it concerns me that he maybe a wild child. Robert and I are both calm and reserved. We are not going to know how to act with a wild one. ha ha
I had to do the glucose test at the doctors. It wasn't bad at all. The drink I had to take tasted like a Sunkist. I gulped it down like it was nothing. Doctor says I should know Tuesday the result. I am praying for good numbers. If numbers aren't acceptable, I will be seeing him next week to see what we will have to do. If numbers are good, I see doc in 2 weeks. We went ahead and scheduled for March 9th. So, now I am wondering if my appointments will be every two weeks. Am I already that far along to see him every 2 weeks? Oh boy!! I then had to go wait in the lab to have my blood drawn. I had to wait for an hour so that the drink could do its thing. The hour really wasn't that bad. I am a people watcher, so that always help with time. ha ha The lady who drew my blood was amazing. If you know me, I HATE needles. I didn't even feel the needle touch me. She made conversation with Mom and I talking about giving birth. I have concluded that I will take whatever drug they are willing to give me. This girl is not doing the natural crap. I don't want to be in so much that it will become too late to take anything. Just give it to me!
After the doctors, Mom and I got lunch at Capone's near Highland Village. It was ok. I wanted a brick oven pizza and I had found this place online. My favorite place for brick oven pizza so far is in Dothan, AL. It was THE BEST! I think it was called Firestone Pizza. We then made our way to Pottery Barn Kids because they were holding the "last" quilt to complete our bedding set. I wanted to go ahead and get it just in case it wasn't available later. Apparently, the Dr. Seuss bedding is very popular. You can't even get it online right now. I still have a few things listed on the registry. Once that was done we went to our yogurt shop that we usually go to when we are in that area. My favorite flavors are the vanilla bean, vanilla wafer, and Ghirardelli chocolate. I like to top it off with fruit. Usually just strawberries. Here's a photo.
Mom likes the "odd" flavors with all kinds of toppings. LOL I wish Baytown had a place like this. I would keep them in business.
So, Mini Cooper is 27 weeks.
90 days to go!
He is the size of a cauliflower.
Weighing 2lbs
He is 14 inches long.
Hopefully we will make progress with the nursery by the next blog. :-)

Last Week of the 2nd Trimester! YAY!
WHAT A WEEK!
So, Thursday night at about 10pm I got that pain I had dreaded to feel again. Darn gallstones! Had a gallbladder attack all night Thursday through Friday night til about 5:30pm! What a horrible and miserable way to spend your weekend off. I contemplated to go to the E.R. but I remember when I had an attack 4 months ago when I was 4 weeks pregnant that there wasn't much they could do for me. Gallbladder can't come out until baby gets here. Friday morning I thought I had gotten over the pain when it hit me again around noon. When I finally realized that I can't take the pain anymore it was after 2 and the doctors office was already close. Lucky them. I had my O.B. paged praying that he would have an answer to some relief. Luckily he sent a prescription and Robert picked it up on his way home. In the meantime, I was texting Robert, since he was at work, letting him know how I felt. He had kept checking on through out the day. Robert decided to come home early in case we were going to the E.R. That medicine was an answer to my prayer. Within the hour I was feeling better. Saturday was a day of no energy and just took care of myself to be ready for work on Sunday. On top of that, I have a horrible cold. I haven't had any taste buds for 3 days. I can't smell. That could be a good thing. HA HA Bedtime is miserable because I can't breathe. I have a smokers cough. Last night, I had enough and my wonderful husband ran out to Walgreen's to get me a humidifier and some Vick's cream. Once I had those, I slept great. I hope it helps tonight too. These last few days have just been pooey. On the bright side, Mini Cooper is on the move. It's a relief to feel him move especially since I had the excruciating pain Thursday/Friday. With me not feeling good, I didn't get a weekly picture. I promise I look the same from last week. HA HA.
96 Days to go!
He is the size of an english cucumber 14 inches long
He will weigh 2lbs this week!
Friday is the glucose test.
Until next time.

99 Days left til D-Day!
I just wanted to post that we are over the three digit numbers! Holy Cow! Time is going by so fast. We have so much to do. The soon-to-be nursery is still an office. :-( Well, I have the closet ready. The closet is already collecting clothes and goodies for our Mini Cooper. I better get busy. I am hoping to purchase some paint this weekend so I will have it on hand when I am ready to get that done. There will be pictures.
:-)
Our lil boy is an active one. I can see him moving all around. I wish there was an at-home ultrasound machine so that I can see what he's doing all the time. It's killing me that we haven't seen him since our 19week ultrasound. Hopefully, we will be scheduled to see him one more time before he is really here.
The thing that I want the most right now is Dairy Queen's ice cream cone. Nothing fancy with a blizzard or dipped cone, just plain vanilla ice cream cone. They have the best. Sonic's has an extrememly weird flavor. You think you're having a sugar cookie/doughnut ice cream with popcorn cone. Just weird. Even my friend Rae said it did. She's been my DQ buddy. lol I think it's time for another run to the DQ!
Until next time...
