23 Weeks! 119 Days to go!

Mini Cooper is growing and I am really feeling him now.  It's pretty amazing! It feels like flutters and little pulse like movements.  For fun, I'll rub my tummy to see if he'll respond.  It works. I have even seen my my tummy move! He is the size of a melon and just over a pound.  He is more than 11 inches long. Time is really moving fast. I have really been blessed with the pregnancy.  Still no sickness. I pray that I don't get sick at the end of the pregnancy.  I still have gallstones but no pain since the attack in September.  PTL!

I went for a routine check up today.  Mini Cooper's heartbeat was 150bpm.  He sounds strong and healthy. :-) We scheduled the Glucose Test for Feb.24th.  Dr. Lloyd makes it sound like its a piece of cake.  He says I don't even have to fast for it.  From reading about others who went through this, they hated it. This should be interesting.

Last weekend, my friend Rachel and I went to Clearlake to add things to my baby registry.  Baytown stores are really disappointing.  Rachel was a big help. She's a wonderful Auntie to her nephew and niece and her advice was appreciated.  She is truly a Savvy Auntie! After a trip to the Target, we headed to Babies R US.  That store was a MEGA store! It was as big as Walmart! With an exhausting day, we took advantage of a special parking spot.

It was quiet nice to park close.  haha  The parking lot did look like a Walmart parking lot.  I am on my 6 month of being preggo, but I don't look like it. I deserve it as much as other preggo mommy's.

The soon-to-be nursery still looks the same.  A MESS! It's the catch all, office, gym room.

Here are some photos to enjoy.  The first 3 pictures are from last week. I will try to get one for this week.

LOL! Mom made me take my pic by the Mini Cooper at the docs this morning. I posed to hopefully see that I am preggo.

22 weeks today!

So, today marks 22 weeks into the preggo world. 126 days to go! Our lil guy will be here before we know it.

I've had a difficult time trying to decide how to do the nursery.  We are a sports family but I really wanted to save a sports theme when he gets a little older.  I thought I would get tired of sports 24-7.  I am really  not into the nursery collections at babies r us and target. So, after googling  every keyword for a baby boy nursery I think I have decided on one! YAY! Pottery Barn has really awesome design and collections.  I even like their sports theme, but decided to go with.....
Dr. Seuss!  Mom and I went to the Pottery Barn store yesterday and we both fell in love with the collection.  It's super bright and it's said that bright colors are good for newborns.  The sheets have the alphabet, so hopefully our Mini Cooper will learn them quick. LOL
I was set on this collection before we got to the store...

I really liked how simple it was and I could add any color and anything.  The more I looked at it, the more nautical it looked. :-(  I still like it though. I am a very indecisive decision maker. I was hoping I could have a few collections picked out that  I like then ask Robert what he likes best. And, of course, I get the "Whatever you like" answer.  He's such a sweetie to let me do what I want. But, sometimes I would like for him to make a decision. :-)  I would like to add a wall hanging to his fun room... I just chose letter "M" for fun. These prints can be framed.  PB has the whole alphabet available . That can get too expensive.  I have got to get stuff moved out of the future nursery.  I have no idea where everything is going to go.  I want to get it done early so I am doing stuff at the last minute. I have friends who are eager to paint so that'll be a huge help! :-)

This morning is probably the first time I realized that I have something living inside of me. Mini Cooper was having all kinds of fun.  I had flutter feelings going crazy.  It's a pretty amazing feeling.  I still don't look pregnant though.  I guess that's good.

I registered for the Spring 2012 semester at University of Houston.  I am praying that Mini Cooper will let me get through this semester.  I didn't want to get behind in the program I am.  Semester ends May 7th and Baby is due May 26th. :-D I maybe pushing it. I am just super excited about going to school to get my bachelors! Class starts Monday. I will go to class every other Monday.  The class is mainly online.  I enjoyed it last semester.

Doctor appointment is next Friday.  We will hear his lil fast heartbeat. :-)

This is what my house looks like on Jan. 15th. I started to put stuff away but got frustrated. haha
Hopefully by the end of the month this will be put away.
Mini Cooper seems to be doing good. Nothing new to report.

When you are pregnant...

You will need these.....
My sweet husband was so kind to run to Walgreens to take care of me. I don't wish these bastids on anyone! I hope Mini Cooper is enjoying himself while I suffer through these changes.

By the way, we are halfway through the pregnancy!! Last week marked 20 weeks. Time sure is flying. I am ready to feel his kicks and punches because I still don't see where he could be hanging out. haha

Adding BLUE to the CREW!

On December 29, we had an ultrasound to check out our Mini Cooper. We found out that we are having a BOY!!! This is my parents first grandchild and Robert's side its the 4th grandson. No granddaughters yet. We are super excited to have our 1st baby.  I feel like I have so much to do before he gets here. Hopefully I get in the the office soon so I can turn it into a nursery.  Here a few pictures of our lil guy. :-)

His arm/hand in fist  He was probably upset we were trying to take pictures.

Here I am!!!! HAHA

The techs were having a hard time taking pictures of him.  Everytime they would take a picture he would turn around or do a flip. I am probably to blame for that. I drank a glass of orange juice before the appointment and that probably gave him energy.

Hopefully my blogging will get better.  The pregnancy is moving along great so hopefully I will have updates to report.  Next doc appointment is Jan. 27th.  That's one of the quick appointments where we get to hear the hearbeat and check in with the doc.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Robert and I had a wonderful Christmas with our families.  We can't believe that this was our last Christmas with just us! Next Christmas will be tons of fun, though. Robert can't wait to play Santa. Our Mini Cooper got a few gifts this Christmas. It's going to be a spoiled one.
The Mini Cooper shirt is for me to wear.  The bib on the left was from my Mom and the bib on the right is from Grandma "Tilda" (Robert's Grandma).  The family storybook was from my mom. She says I need to start reading to it. There is a collection of children stories in the book.  The book came with an audio cd as well. That should be fun! The 2 above boxes were from Kyle and Caye and we can have a keepsake of our lil one's hands.
Robert got me some good gifts this year.  I had hinted a while back that a wireless printer would be nice when I doing some school work. Also, when I was helping Mom with her annual Christmas letter-that was a chore. I could only make 3 copies at a time.  Robert got me a fancy one.  I can do 2 sided copies with a dual feeder and can print from one room to another...even from my celllphone! Oh, the things I get excited about. Haha. My sweet husband got me a sentimental gift.

<3 My Family <3

Uncle Ryno and Aunt TyTy are already spoiling our lil guy. My brother is a huge Raider fan. He has been since he was born. Robert's Dad is a Raider fan as well.  Hopefully we can add some Texans gear. Mini Cooper is ready for some Astros baseball too! Hopefully they can have a better season this year!

Our last Christmas picture with just the two of us. Next Christmas is going to be fun!

New Years we celebrated with Mr. and Mrs. Threadgill as they said "I Do"! We rang in the new year with the happy couple and got to hang with our crew.  Below is a picture of the "Wifey's" and I am 19 weeks pregnant.
