40 Days To Go!

Time is flying by so fast.  I am now starting to feel pregnant.  Our lil guy is the size of a cantaloupe right now and I can tell!  Getting in and out of bed is a chore. I would just like to just stay there for as long as I can without having to hurry out to potty or get ready for work.  I never believed the whole going to the potty alot during the night was true. Holy Cow! That's probably why I am so tired because all I do is get up during the night.  Mini Cooper is almost 18 inches long and weighs about 4 3/4 lbs.  I have this feeling that he is going to be ready to meet us sooner than expected.  I had a check up last Friday and his heart rate was 142.  His heart rate has been very consistent and strong since day 1. That's always a relief to hear that.  My next appointment is for the 27th and Dr. Lloyd will doing some sort of bacterial culture test.  I'm guessing its routine.  Then, on the 28th, Robert and I will attend the birthing class/hospital tour at Texas Womens.  We are both nervous about this process. haha I know we will be fine, but we want to be prepared for what's about to happen.  It's an all day thing, and I can already tell how exhausting its going to be.  Dr. Lloyd said he will schedule an ultrasound once we are closer to D-Day.  He is making me anxious with that ultrasound. I want to see him already!  But, as time is flying by so fast...we will see him soon!
Update on the nursery.  We have an assembled dresser! Yay! haha We also have the bassinet ready along with the carseat/stroller.  We have to learn how to put the carseat in the car, though.  I have always had trouble with those things. I gotta get it right this time, though. :-) We had our carpets cleaned by Sears 2 weeks ago and we were pleased with the service.  Our carpets look new!  We barricaded Presley in the kitchen to keep his dirty paws off the clean wet carpet.  This didn't last long because he whinned and whinned.  Here are a few pictures.

Project: Bassinet

Bassinet pretty much done.  The mobile was the last step.

Window Hardware from Pottery Barn.  I couldn't find anything I liked to match Dr. Seuss. I hope it works.

Project: Dresser- I love how he takes his time putting things together for his son.  2 hrs to complete this. That's why the crib is still in the box. haha But, at least we know its put together well. :-)

Finished Project Dresser.
So, nothing else to report. Just counting down. I am finishing up my second semester at UofH too. Last class is May 7th.  I'm praying I can get through it.

Until next time...

Mini Cooper is on "Cruise Control"!

According to Doctor Lloyd, our lil guy is getting ready for his big debut. I had a check up yesterday and everything seems to be running smoothly.  His heart rate was 153bpm.  It took a minute or so to find his heart rate because he was moving around on us. Of course, I got nervous when the monitor didn't pick it up right away.  He was being a lil stinker.  Dr. Lloyd was able to tell me that he is positioned in a downward position.  He said we would schedule an ultrasound at my next appointment which is April. 13th.  Yay, an ultrasound! We haven't seen our baby since Week 19.  He is going to look so different!!! I can't wait!
My pregnancy itself has been great.  I have had just a few issues during this time to make me not feel well.  I am still having to be careful of what I eat because of the gallstones.  It really stinks because preggo ladies like to eat anything and I haven't been able to do that. :-(  On the bright side, hopefully "eating better" will benefit the baby.  Last week, I had a flare up of my cellulitis and was out of work for a few days. Cellulitis is not fun.  For those of you who know me, I have had this a few times in the last 7 years and it usually results into surgery.  I was so scared that I was going to be admitted and have to deal with surgery along with being pregnant.  Praise the Lord that it didn't come to that.  Dr. Lloyd prescribed me an antibiotic and within a week I was much better!  It was so bad that I couldn't stand to walk or sit.  I was miserable!
I feel like I have to much to write about because I noticed its been about a month since my last post! Shame on me! I was supposed to be keeping up with this.  But hey, I work full-time, go to college, take care of hubby, and try to take care of the house.  Haha I am thankful for Maria.  She's my Mom's house cleaner and has recently added my house to her list.  A Clean House = a Happy Mommy to be.  :) Bending over to clean just doesn't happen for me anymore.  lol  I still keep up with the laundry and dishes.  Yay me!
March 24th was my baby shower.  I am so blessed to have so many loving family and friends.  Especially to the girls who hosted, Tyler and Rachel. Here are a few photos of my Dr. Seuss Themed Shower.

Thanks Rae for my wonderful shower! <3
Saturday night, we purchased the nursery furniture.  We already have a crib at the house but recently found out that the coordinating pieces have discontinued or you just can't get.  Very frustrating times we have had with Target.  Customer Service is poor!  We went to "look" to see what Babies R Us had and decided on the below set.  We had wonderful customer service. We happened to get help from the manager.  He gave advice and said he wouldn't steer us in the wrong direction when it came to baby stuff.  He happened to be a young Dad of a 2 month old and 18 month old.  He was so generous too.  He said he would reimburse us for the shipping cost we are having to pay for the crib.  What a nice guy!  So, what's left to do?  Carpet cleaning.  We have Sears scheduled to come out Friday to do their thing.  D-Day is going to be here before we know it!
Last night, I arranged the baby clothes into piles from the warm water wash cycle and the cold wash cycle.  I hope to get those items ready this week.  I want to have my hospital bag ready.  I've already bought toiletries and a big-soft-comfy towel for the hospital.  It's always good to be prepared.

If you haven't figured it out yet.  Our Mini Cooper's name is Matthew Munro.  The name has pretty much been the one since we knew we were pregnant.

As of today, it's WEEK 32 with 54 DAYS TO GO!
He weighs as much as a jicama (yam bean)

He is almost 4lbs!
He is about 16.7 inches long.
He is a kicker.  He moves around often.
Officially in our 8th Month!

By the way, April is a busy month!  Easter this weekend, San Jacinto Day on the 21st, and my Dad comes home from Jordan for 3 weeks!  We can't wait to see him!!Edit HTML
